I try to find homes for stray cats that I vet (usually at a cost of $150). I ask a $25 rehoming fee and get nasty emails from animal rights people who accuse me of trying to make money from strays I've found. I'm in SC...you don't dare give aware free animals down here. Other local rescuers are facing this as well. It seems to be mostly animal rights organizations on the West Coast trying to block our listings. They'll send these crazy emails saying I should keep all the cats I find.
They also try to block ads posted by people who've let their animals multiply and are trying to get homes for the puppies or kittens. Yes, these people are irresponsible, but who pays when their ads get flagged--their unwanted pets. Generally they either shoot them or take them to the pound (i.e. the local gas chamber). All that flaggers accomplish is getting animals killed.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2605903011541104311.post-76990836329653212702010-04-07T17:33:06.072-07:002010-04-07T17:33:06.072-07:00Nice example. I found out what the $80 plan was about. It is all the "featured articles" like the How to whatever by Sarah Palin articles we have been seeing on the front page of eHow. They threw their normal guidelines out the window to get those more expensive articles.JadeDragon@innovativepassiveincomehttp://innovativepassiveincome.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2605903011541104311.post-74460778260712958772010-04-04T10:11:57.506-07:002010-04-04T10:11:57.506-07:00Exactly the conclusion I've come too. There are numerous members pleading with eHow staff to answer their questions so they can know whether there is hope for them there. Many members have more than 1,000 articles on the site, and it can be challenging to move them to a more reputable site. Yet eHow reps actually ridicule members and say they "enjoy" the fun of bantering about these serious issues. eHow management is like a secret society of sociopaths that isn't so secret anymore.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2605903011541104311.post-90689872130097123842010-03-06T15:21:07.860-08:002010-03-06T15:21:07.860-08:00Excellent job of covering this! There were questions posted about the UK site as early as September that were deleted, again in October, and finally on November 5th one was posted that was not deleted (only moved to change the date). It still took 7 more weeks for a response that was a non-answer, as anyone can see here is what eHow specializes in. There is so much more going on behind the scenes that we are just now discovering. This should get interesting. Your post helps people realize how eHow "communicates." I said that the solicitation we got from an affiliate was 'scammy'. When you offer incentives to affiliates, you can't always be sure they won't be spammy in trying to get your affiliate money. Also, your 'referral' program did not state that you only allow managers to become affiliates. If so, one of those 'managers' is sending out what I deem to be 'spammy' solicitations- in that they do not state specifically what they are trying to sell, and they actually mislead what they are selling.
I don't have a problem with people making money off of musicians for what is essentially a consulting service- but I do have a problem with it if it is being marketed as something that appears to be a record label or agent or something like that. When you've been in the business a while, you can see the differences, but the solicitation appeared to be targeted towards 'new' musicians who wouldn't know the difference. That's scammy. I'll leave your comment and info up because although as a musician I would never waste my money on your services, some musicians might, and although I think your affiliate's solicitation was scammy, that doesn't mean that your business is, other than that you allow affiliates to send out scammy solicitations.GloryBughttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02607481395187073431noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2605903011541104311.post-49195346873789332372010-02-24T13:32:15.451-08:002010-02-24T13:32:15.451-08:00Glorybug,

So instead of getting mad about what I think is SO LOW, I find the funny side. VvonV has also thought it immensely funny that people have mistaken Twitter Rocket fans/disturbed people's posts in comments as being from me.

I have a feeling, that without me posting the typos I found, that if I offered a contest that would pay $100 per typo in every "supposed' Twitter Rocket purchaser's eBook, and they had to cough up those eBooks sight unseen, every one of them would match the 4 eBooks I've been sent.

You are making over $1000 a day, Hannah- surely you could spare $100 to have a little contest to see whose eBook has the exact same typos mine has? It would be a shame if 'surprise', nobody came forward besides the 4 different people from my side.... because I guess you can tell one of them would win that prize. And since I never told any of them that anyone else had sent me a copy, I'm guessing 4 people would be expecting that prize.

I'd like to know who's stupendic logic came up with the idea that if people reviewed the Twitter Rocket and concluded that it was not a scam- just overpriced by the amount a 'Lazy-assed' person would be willing to pay for..... that they should all flock to that site to discredit the person who said the product was not a scam.

Have you practiced flawed circular logic much?
cGloryBughttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02607481395187073431noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2605903011541104311.post-20168224664888770882009-09-21T19:29:04.018-07:002009-09-21T19:29:04.018-07:00Actually, Anonymous, I should turn on my Studio La...Actually, Anonymous, I should turn on my Studio Laptop camera, and we should have a beauty contest.

Because, no joke, that was something I read by Hannah- that we should essentially have a 'beauty contest' to prove whether or not the Twitter Rocket works.
